In this study, the Ramor 500 armor steel pair was combined with the Wooden Base submerged welding method.Cr, Niand Mn based austenitic additive wire was used in the joining process.Radiographic examination wasperformed on the samples after welding.Weld metal geometries were measured and microhardnessdistributions were investigated.As a result of, the suture geometry form measures increased as the voltageincreased at the joining points of the welded samples.
While the welding strength of these weldedspecimens was examined by using tensile strength tests, the radiography test of these specimens wasexamined by using Tray (Set of 3) X-ray diffraction method.Depending on the stress, microhardness values showedsimilar results.It has been observed that your hardness has decreased in the ITAB region and hasincreased strongly in the welding metal.
